Mitrephora maingayi

Tree: intact flower with 3 inner petals fused distally to form an open hanging basket.

Fallen outer petals.

Ash-colored trunk.

the morphology of the Polyalthia flower is very different from Mitrephora. You can check up some Polyalthia photos (and Monocarpia too) from my website at:
